Graham Cummins signs for Shamrock Rovers, with Joel Coustrain going the other way

Graham Cummins has signed for Shamrock Rovers from Cork City on loan until the end of the season, with winger Joel Coustrain going the other way on loan.

The 31-year-old will aim to fill a goalscoring hole in the Rovers squad and assist their title push, which is in need of a boost after a 1-0 defeat to Dundalk on Friday.

Cummins scored 19 league goals across his second stint at City, after previously firing them to the 2011 First Division title before leaving for spells in England and Scotland.

23-year-old Coustrain goes the other way after signing for Rovers in 2018.

The speedy Limerick native has been in and out of the first XI during his Tallaght Stadium spell, but will look to establish himself in a City side in need of a spark.

It's been a day of change at both clubs, with City also confirming James Tilley's retun to Brighton and Rovers sending Sam Bone out on loan to Waterford.

Earlier, the Leesiders also confirmed their new management structure, nabbing former City Womens manager Frank Kelleher back from Cobh until the end of the season.
