Graham Coughlan sends Bristol Rovers squad message ahead of AFC Wimbledon trip

Graham Coughlan has warned that Bristol Rovers need to be on it this weekend, or they risk being punished by AFC Wimbledon.

The Gas currently sit 12th in the developing League One table and are just two points off the play-offs with 12 points from eight matches.

Tomorrow they visit a Wimbledon side who are yet to win a match this season, picking up three points from nine matches.

Rovers go into the game on the back of a frustrating draw with Gillingham on Tuesday evening, a match they led 1-0 for the majority until a late equaliser.

Coughlan says his side cannot afford to dwell on the dropped points and must switch their focus, even with Wimbledon struggling.

"That's football, frustration is part and parcel of football," he said. "Frustrations of being at home and we could have, we should have, maybes, ifs, that's all part and parcel of football.

"There's no team in this division that are roll overs or easy, whether you're home or away, there's quality. It's a really tough division and you will get hurt if you don't do your jobs correctly.

"It's a good game this weekend, it's a feisty one, I'd love to be pulling on a jersey and going out with the lads, these are my types of games where you have to roll your sleeves up, go out and fight, battle and churn out results.

"It's a decent game for us to play in on Saturday, then we've got them coming thick and fast with Chelsea and Rotherham."
