Grafton Street pop-up charity shop with a difference to offer high-quality designer clothing

An exciting new pop-up charity shop with a difference is set to open up on Grafton Street after lockdown.

The National Council for the Blind Ireland will be opening its Re:newed pop-up through the month of December at 110 Grafton Street, and it looks like it's going to be amazing.

Inspired by the designer charity shop created by Harrod's in London, Re:newed will see high-quality designer clothing donated from Irish designers including Lainey Keogh, celebrities and the public.

So far this year, over €1 million in revenue has been lost by the NCBI due to shop closures during lockdown in Ireland.

There are over 55,000 people in Ireland living with sight loss, and the restrictions in place have lost many opportunities to use their sense of touch, leaving many feeling isolated and vulnerable.

A spokeswoman said: "This will be no ordinary charity shop as Re: Newed for NCBI was inspired by the London version that Harrod’s developed, which was curated by Stella McCartney and runs every year for March with NSPCC.

"We know that sustainable fashion is as important to you as it is to us. Especially at this time of year, where there is much waste, raising awareness about our the brand new Grafton Street pop up shop is a huge priority."
