Graeme Souness praises Manchester United's Marcus Rashford

Graeme Souness believes Marcus Rashford is Manchester United’s “main man” - and the go to person for their goals.

Rashford has scored nine goals in his last 10 games for both club and country after scoring in England’s November fixtures against Kosovo and Montenegro.

The academy graduate has also played a major role in his side’s impressive form before the international break with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side winning five of their last six games in all competitions.

And Souness, speaking ahead of United’s game against Sheffield United on Sunday afternoon, believes Rashford is part of a front three that can “destroy” teams.

“Marcus Rashford, at 22, is their main man,” the Scot told Sky Sports. “He is the go to man for their goals.”

“On a good day they will destroy you, the will destroy you. You can almost end up chasing shadows with them. Always running back towards your own goal.”

Souness also said on United’s front three: “They are all pacey and are capable of getting goals.

“But they are all a bit hit and miss. Martial, you sometimes you look at him and think what a fantastic player he is, but then he goes absent.

“James, given he only a young man and that he is new to this level is a bit in and out and that is understandable.”
