Graeme Souness makes Nicolas Pepe prediction that Arsenal fans will love

Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness has admitted that he believes Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe has all of the necessary qualities to be "successful" in football.

Souness made the admission after watching Arsenal record a third successive win in all competitions on Sunday afternoon at the Emirates Stadium, beating Everton 3-2.

Two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and a strike from Eddie Nketiah, who started for the second league game in succession, were enough to seal another big victory for Mikel Arteta's side.

But even though it was Aubameyang who scooped the man of the match accolade for his two-goal performance, Souness took up the opportunity to lavish Arsenal's £72million recruit from Lille last summer with praise.

"It was difficult for him to start with. There was a lot of huffing and puffing," Souness told Sky Sports.

"They paid a lot of money for him but I think he has everything to be successful in our game. Not just to succeed but to be a star in our game.

"He has great pace, quick feet and eye for a goal.

"It has been a difficult learning curve.

"If they get him right they will be a difficult team to play against."

After a slow start to life in England, Pepe has been in great form of late under Arteta, bagging one goal and three assists in his last two Premier League outings, proving that, with time, he does have all of the attributes to deliver on a consistent basis in England.
