Graeme Souness disagrees with Gary Neville on Liverpool after Premier League title celebration

Graeme Souness insists that Liverpool will be a perennial Premier League winners in the next decade - comments which counter Manchester United great Gary Neville 's view.

Neville explained this week that he is not worried about Liverpool when it comes to getting back to the team of the 1970 and 1980s when they dominated English football.

The former United defender told Sky Sports: "No, I'm not (concerned). What would concern me about Liverpool for a long period would be if they were bought out by a super-rich owner, who invested at the level of Manchester City, Manchester United."

But this viewpoint is at odds with that of his Sky Sports colleague and former Liverpool star Souness, who believes Jurgen Klopp's men are perfectly positioned to create a dynasty in the next several years.

"This won't be the last one (title win) that I see. You can't guarantee anything but I think this is geared to be a very successful football club for the next decade," Souness told Sky Sports during Liverpool's win over Chelsea on Wednesday.

"This is Liverpool back to where they were 30 or 40 years ago."

In many ways that dynasty has already begun with the Premier League title, Champions League trophy and the World Club Cup honour all in the bag at this moment, but Souness acknowledges there will be challengers in the league next term.

"You can bet the challenge is going to come from Manchester United and Chelsea, and Man City are not going to go anywhere."
