Graeme Souness and Roy Keane agree on Tottenham's biggest flaw under Nuno Espirito Santo

The pressure mounted on Nuno Espirito Santo as his Tottenham side were comfortably beaten 3-0 by Manchester United on Saturday evening.

It was another insipid performance from the north Londoners with Harry Kane once again struggling to make an impact in front of goal with neither the striker nor any of his teammates mustering a shot on target.

A stunning first-half strike from Cristiano Ronaldo was followed in the second by smart finishes from Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford rounding off the scoring.

Boos rained down from the stands at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at half-time, full time and when Lucas Moura was withdrawn in the second half.

After full-time, both Roy Keane and Graeme Souness agreed that the most notable aspect of the Spurs showing was a lack of entertainment, energy and aggression.

"Spurs are boring to watch. They’re boring to watch. Really boring," Keane said during Sky Sports' coverage of the game.

"If you watch the game, they’re the home team you’re thinking the stadium was empty. Come on, where's that bit of energy?

"There was a bit of booing at the end and that was probably aimed at Harry Kane more than anybody else because his performance wasn’t up to scratch.

"But, Tottenham you’re looking for a bit of urgency - I couldn’t believe how bad they were."

Souness agreed, justifying why the home fans reacted as they did.

"What gets fans on the edge of their seats?" the former Liverpool midfielder pondered.

"Aggression, someone falling out with someone. A few tackles. People doing aggressive things, Getting shots on target. None of that today for Spurs in 90 minutes. Not a shot on target.

"They go home a frustrated group wondering where they’re going this year and I think it’s pretty obvious. Mid-table at best."
