Aberdeen captain Graeme Shinnie will sign for an English Championship club this summer, it is being reported.
The midfielder is poised to leave Pittodrie in the summer as a free agent after so far knocking back deals to remain in the North-East.
And according to HITC, Shinnie will choose between offers from Sheffield United and Bristol City.
Luton Town boss Mick Harford has already gone on record as saying he is interested in the 27-year-old.
But it seems the Scotland star will reject the chance to join the League One league leaders and move to England’s second tier.
Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is an admirer of Shinnie but it appears he will not become the second successive Dons skipper to quit the club for Ibrox following Ryan Jack’s switch to Glasgow.
Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes is also set to lose Gary Mackay-Steven, who is also a free agent at the end of the season.
McInnes said earlier on Saturday about Shinnie: "Graeme and I speak every other day so I know exactly where he is with this.
“There is hope, of course there is, and we will see.

“I would have liked an answer yesterday, I would have liked an answer in January. We are still in the position where Graeme knows what we can do for him.
“I know how much he loves the club.
“I would like a bit more clarity on it but we speak every day about certain things and I know exactly where he is.
“And I am here to support Graeme make any of his decisions.”
