Graeme McDowell in line for mouth watering pay day after latest LIV golf event

Graeme McDowell is set to earn his biggest pay day in years after starting off well at LIV golf's latest event.

The major winner jumped ship from the PGA to join to controversial Saudi backed league and his decision is reaping dividends with McDowell already having his most financially lucrative year as a professional since 2016.

The Northern Ireland man has scooped over $1m since joining the tour and is set to strike it rich yet again this weekend.

McDowell currently sits in a tie for 32nd after the second round of LIV's latest event.

McDowell was in 11th place after round one with the pay day set to be north of $500,000 but has fallen back in the field.

But McDowell can still expect to earn close to $150,000 for his efforts if he remains in 32nd.

The 2010 US Open winner will need a big final day push if he is to strike it rich but but a second day 73 has hurt McDowell's chances.

He will still have two more LIV events later this year in Jeddah and Miami.
