Graeme Mathie hails Hibs fan donation as he details how money will be used

Graeme Mathie has thanked the Hibs fans who donated £10k to the club over the weekend.

Fans forum Hibs.net provided the cash boost to the club and the money will be used to increase performance analysis at Easter Road.

New equipment will be bought and Jack Ross' men will have stuff such as their sleep quality assessed over the course of the rest of the season in a bid to help them.

The incredible donation took funds from the fans group to almost £120k in total and Mathie insists everyone at the club is delighted with the support.

Hibs are looking to seal third place in the Premiership and this extra edge could provide a boost to the squad.

He said: “We’re all very appreciative of any donation given by the supporters to help the club and the Hibs fans continue to go above and beyond to help the team.

“The donations from Hibs.net are always used, specifically, to help the football department and have allowed us to implement new ideas or technologies to keep us at the forefront in support services to the players.

“Part of this donation will be used to invest in technology that will allow Nathan Ring and his team to collect meaningful information on player wellbeing, which will help them to plan specific training programmes.

“Hopefully we can welcome Hibs.net members to HTC to say ‘thanks’ in person as we have done in the past, as soon as the restrictions are eased and we’re able to do so.”
