Grady Diangana superb and Sead Haksabanovic sends a message as West Ham loan stars shine

West Ham youngster Grady Diangana enjoyed one of his best performances as a professional in his fledgling career after completely changing the game for West Bromwich Albion in their victory over Luton Town in the Championship.

The winger joined former Hammers boss Slaven Bilic at the Hawthorns on deadline day for the season and in his first league appearance for his loan club, scored twice as the visitors turned around a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 victory.

Diangana climbed off the bench at half time to score a 25-yarder three minutes later to reduce the arrears in half, cancelling out Harry Cornick's 15th minute opener.

Three minutes later, Diangana scored again, diverting home a wayward shot with his head into the net to put the Baggies into the lead, one which they would hold on to as they hit third in the standings in the league's early stages.

Diangana was also named in the EFL team of the week for his rousing impact off the bench and is surely pushing for a start for the Baggies in their next game at home to Reading on Wednesday night.

Another youngster who enjoyed a fine weekend is somewhat forgotten man Sead Haksabanovic, who has been enjoying a fruitful spell in Sweden with IFK Norkopping.

He scored one and assisted another as his side beat IK Sirus 2-1 in Sweden's top flight.

The Hammers midfielder bagged an assist last weekend too and got another one two days ago when he fed Karl Holmberg on a counter attack to score the winner. The Montenegrin had earlier drew his side level after poking home from close range.

Also in the Championship, Josh Cullen and Jordan Hugill were in action for Charlton Athletic and Queens Park Rangers respectively.

Cullen played the full 90 in a 2-2 draw for the Addicks against Barnsley while Hugill's side fell to a 2-0 loss at Bristol City with the on-loan striker coming close with a header that was tipped over the bar.

Goalkeeper Nathan Trott made his full debut for loan club AFC Wimbledon as they drew 1-1 with Accrington Stanley. The Hammers stopper had to be patient for his first start after picking up a groin injury which saw him briefly return to east London for treatment.

Finally, Martin Samuelsen made a substitute appearance for FK Haigesund in their 2-1 win over Valerenga in Norway's Eliteserien..
