A Grade II-listed chimney located within Troopers Hill Nature Reserve has been vandalised with graffiti in a late night attack on Friday, December 30. Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour to come forward.
Bristol Police said: "Late on Friday 30 December, the Grade II-listed chimney within Troopers Hill Nature Reserve, St George, was extensively damaged with graffiti.
"If you witnessed anything suspicious, or have any information, please call 101 and quote reference number 5223003302."

Troopers Hill is situated in St George, east Bristol, between the A431 Air Balloon Road and Crews Hole Road.
Troopers Hill has two Grade 2 listed chimneys. The one at the top of the Hill dates from the 1790s or earlier and was built to serve a copper smelting works by the river (or possibly an earlier leadworks); a duct or flue ran up the side of the hill to the chimney.
It was later used by a chemical works until falling out of use around the time of the First World War. The lower chimney on the corner of Crews Hole Road dates from the early 1800s and was part of an engine house for Crews Hole Colliery.
