Grade A Victorian office building on the market for more than £3 million

A Grade A-listed Victorian office building in Glasgow's business district is up for sale for offers over £3 million.

The property at 2-10 Bothwell Street was built in 1849 during the height of the Victorian. It was redeveloped as a branch of Abbey National but closed in 2018 having become part of Santander. It is now a multi-let office space.

The 28,136 sq ft three-storey building, with basement and six external car parking spaces, is being marketed as having potential for redevelopment as a hotel, leisure and retail uses, subject to planning consent.

Mike Buchan, of marketing agent JLL, said: “This is an exceptional property, with a strong tenant base, which has been a permanent fixture in the heart of Glasgow’s business district for over 170 years.

"It is a unique opportunity to purchase such a high profile building and we expect interest to be shown from a range of perspective buyers who see the potential in the site.

“Its central location makes it an attractive office investment or redevelopment for a variety of uses."
