Grace Clarke: Girl missing in Brighton after Storm Ellen found by police

Police have found a 12-year-old girl who went missing in Brighton as Storm Ellen raged through the town.

Officers said Grace Clarke, who had not been seen since 9pm on Friday, was found "safe and well" in Brighton at around midday on Saturday.

Police said earlier that they were "enormously worried" about Grace, who left her home in the Hollingdean area of the town on Friday evening.

Storm Ellen had been battering Sussex on Friday, with a yellow weather warning issued by the Met Office.

Officers urged people to look in their sheds or outhouses on Friday morning, as they thought she could be sheltering from the conditions there.

Police thanked the public for help in sharing their appeal for information about Grace's whereabouts.
