Grabban transfer interest, Grosicki saga - Nottingham Forest fans' questions answered

Nottingham Forest have another busy week ahead, as they look to maintain their unbeaten run under new boss Chris Hughton.

Following Friday's 1-1 draw against Derby County, the Reds have a trip to Luton Town on the horizon in midweek and then travel to Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Off the pitch, they have brought in former AS Monaco official Louis Ducruet as part of the backroom staff and are also awaiting a decision on the transfer of West Bromwich Albion winger Kamil Grosicki.

It meant there was plenty to talk about in the live Forest webchat with Reds reporter Sarah Clapson. Here's how the Q&A played out.

Q: Seeing the effect of the second half when Knockaert came on, do you think Hughton will start him from the off against Luton on Wednesday?

A: If it was me, I'd definitely start Knockaert at Luton, gazza. He really made a difference when he came on against Derby.

With the games coming thick and fast, there's bound to be a bit of squad rotation, so expect we might see a few changes.

Wouldn't be surprised if Hughton tweaks the formation again as well. That 4-4-2 didn't really work on Friday.

Don't think you can write it off completely, but needs a bit more work on the training ground - and choosing the right matches to deploy it in.

I'd start Taylor on Wednesday, too. If Grabban's hip problem is still bothering him, give him a rest and give Taylor a run.

Grabban still capable of coming off the bench and making an impact.

If it's about making sure he's fully fit, then shouldn't effect Grabban's confidence too much, leaving him out of the starting XI.

Q: Grosicki thing become any clearer?

A: Not yet! Still waiting for a decision to be made on Grosicki.

In the hands of the EFL at the moment, and seems there'll be an arbitration hearing. Don't know when exactly that will take place, but Grosicki seemed to drop a strong hint with his tweet!

Should hear one way or the other this week, I'd have thought.

It's certainly dragged on long enough. Be best for everyone once we finally get a decision.

Q: Any idea if Grabban has been promised a move in January as he seemed keen to go? If he has, then can we be sure he'll play at 100 percent if it risks a big payout for him?

A: Haven't heard anything to suggest that's the case. But it certainly wouldn't surprise me if the rumours resurface in January - depending on how things are going, of course.

A lot can change between now and then, obviously.

Told that Grabban was keen on the move to Qatar initially, but agreed to stay after talks with the club.

Understand Forest made clear how much he's needed, and have to give him some credit for changing his mind. Would have left the club short up front if he'd gone.

If it had been playing on his mind, then you'd hope everyone can move on from any uncertainty now.

Don't think you could ever doubt his commitment, but perhaps it might have inadvertently affected his performances. Only Grabban will know that for certain.

Sure he will come good again, though. He's a big player for Forest. All strikers go through tough patches.

Genuinely don't get why some have been quick to write him off.

Q: Will Swan is on fire. When can we expect him in the first team?

A: He's certainly in a purple patch, Anton! Another one who's rated very highly at the club.

Forest keeping up that tradition of a production line of talent.

Hughton has spoken about the importance of the academy, and he's known Gary Brazil for a while, so sure there will continue to be that pathway into the first-team.

It can be a big step up, though.

Wouldn't be surprised to see another loan move first. Believe he was at Truro last season and did well, by all accounts.

He's definitely one for the future. And Forest have a few of those!

Gary Brazil and his staff continue to do a remarkable job.

Am hoping Alex Mighten starts getting more of a chance under Hughton soon. He's always impressed whenever he's played.

Tough competition at the minute, but he can still have a part to play this season.
