Love Island launches riotous new ad for 2021 series with Laura Whitmore rousing singletons

The first full length ad for Love Island 2021 has been revealed - truly heralding the start of British summer.

In the new clip, comedian Iain Stirling, 33, can be seen pulling up in an average high street in a red Jeep. with a LOVE numberplate

The arrival spooks one unsuspecting shopper, who spills her bag of aubergines and peaches - emojis often used when sending sexy texts - all over the floor.

Laura Whitmore, 36, who took over presenting the show from tragic Caroline Flack in 2020, jumps out of the car and using a mallet, smashes an emergency alarm marked 'In case of Love Island Crack On'.

From that moment, chaos ensues.

A man getting a hair cut gleefully shrieks that he has "got a text", prompting the middle-aged barber to wildly shave a heart in to his own chest hair.

People in swimwear start running through the street and beanbags drop from the sky like bombs.

For some reason people then start pelting Iain with peaches and aubergines, like fresh produce hand grenades.

It is not known if the people in the advert are the singletons who will appear on the show.

ITV have stressed that the advert was filmed following all covid-19 guidance at the time.

The ad is an extended version of teaser clips shared on ITV over the past few weeks.

Producers have yet to confirm where the villa will be this year but it is unlikely to be in the UK as a crucial part of the show is it's topical climate and swimwear.

The ITV2 dating show is set to start on Monday, June 28 at 9pm.

Fans of the dating series will no doubt rejoice at the news after last year’s series was cancelled for the first time in the show’s history due to the global Covid-19 pandemic.

Love Island returns this June on ITV2 and ITV Hub, the new advert will air during the The Masked Dancer Final, tonight at 7:30pm on ITV and ITV Hub
