GQ Men of the Year Awards 2019: David Beckham, Nicole Kidman and Taron Egerton hit awards show

The GQ Men of the Year Awards has attracted A-listers for years - 22 to be exact. This year, stars including Michael Sheen, Taron Egerton, Stormzy, Andrew Scott and David Beckham turned out for the awards ceremony at the Tate Modern, looking dapper in tuxes and sleek suits.

Previous GQ cover stars include Prince Charles, Prince Harry and Prince William and last year Prince Charles even turned up at the awards.

Game of Thrones star Richard Madden looked dapper as can be in a black and navy suit by Hugo Boss. Madden is gearing up to don a different kind of suit in the upcoming Marvel movie Eternals, where he's starring alongside his former GoT co-star Kit Harrington.

Kate Middleton's brother James Middleton took the red carpet by storm by showing off his precious date - his pup, clad in a blackwatch ensemble. Middleton previously told Insider, "I sometimes find it easier to talk to dogs than humans."

Nicole Kidman (PA)

It's not just the men who showed off their chicest looks including Nicole Kidman above, who wore a detailed Ralph & Russo gown.

Plenty of A-list women graced the red carpet in their finest, including actress Elle Fanning, who wore a strapless sheer black floral gown.

GQ Editor-in-Chief Dylan Jones told Evening Standard that some of the most memorable past guests to him include Elton John, Prince Charles and David Bowie - but he doesn't let himself get starstruck by the celebrities.

"I think if you are starstruck, or if you’re a fanboy or fangirl, then that’s kind of embarrassing," Jones said.

This year's GQ Men of the Year Awards were held in association with HUGO BOSS.
