A GP surgery where a person visited before testing positive for coronavirus are now screening all patients at the front door.

Gatley Medical Centre confirmed that one of its patients had contracted the virus, also known as Covid-19, last week.

That person attended the practice on Old Hall Road last Wednesday afternoon, February 26.

The practice contacted patients who may have been in the waiting room at the same time.

They are taking matters further by testing everyone at the main entrance of the surgery.

A notice posted on its website said: "We are currently screening patients at the main front door of the practice.
