A GP surgery hit out at lockdown 'flouters' as their city was placed under the government's Tier 3 restrictions.
Dr Miles and Partner GP surgery, based inside the Meir Primary Care Centre, Stoke-on-Trent, said those who had flouted the coronavirus rules 'have now not only ruined it for everyone else' but 'have probably put a lot of people out of business'.
They said they hoped lockdown rule breakers were 'proud' of themselves in the angry post.
In a Facebook post responding to the news that Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire would be put into Tier 3 on December 2, the GP surgery said: "Well done all those who flouted the rules you have now not only ruined it for everyone else, you have probably put a lot of people out of business.
"Hope you are proud of yourselves."
The post on social media received a lot of backlash from readers, StokeonTrentLive reports.

Jo Simcock responded to their comments and said 'most people are making an effort'.
She said: "Dr Miles & Dr Valasapalli wow, nothing to do with schools then? No matter how hard people try, when schools are rife with it, it's going to make very little difference at all.
"Most people are making an effort, but you still have staff taking it home, kids passing it on to parents who then go to work. Kids mixing with kids in classrooms and public transport."
Lisa Weaver said the GP surgery's comments were 'very unprofessional'.
She said: "Dr Miles & Dr Valasapalli should you be posting this as a doctor's surgery? Very unprofessional."
And Ruth Carter said their comments were 'not very accurate'.
She added: "It's not very professional and probably not very accurate either."
