Gowerton railway bridge struck multiple times is hit again

A bridge that has been crashed into dozens of times over years has been struck once again in Gowerton, temporarily closing the road from vehicle access.

Trafle Mill bridge, located at Victoria Road in Gowerton, which has a height limit of 3.3 metres, appears to have been struck by an agricultural vehicle. Police were in attendance with assessments being made over damage to the railway.

The bridge has been hit a staggering amount of times despite yellow signs with flashing lights being situated either side to warn drivers of the bridge's height. You can get more Swansea news and other story updates by subscribing to our newsletters here.
