Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul reaffirmed Thailand's commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and international law enforcement partners to tackle transnational crime and emerging cyber threats.
Mr Anutin on Wednesday welcomed organisers of the 26th FBI National Academy Associates (FBINAA) Asia Pacific Chapter Retraining Conference at Government House. The meeting was hosted by the FBI National Academy Alumni Association of Thailand (FBINAAT) and coincided with the association's 40th anniversary. He said the event reflected the confidence international law enforcement networks place in Thailand and highlighted the long-standing partnership between Thai law enforcement agencies and the FBI National Academy.
He said that modern security threats have become increasingly complex and borderless, particularly cybercrime and transnational criminal activities that exploit advanced technologies. He stressed that no country can effectively address such challenges alone and that close international cooperation is essential.
"The government places great importance on enhancing collaboration with the FBI and other international partners while simultaneously upgrading technological capabilities, personnel expertise and intelligence-sharing mechanisms to improve crackdown efforts on all forms of crime," he said.
He also stressed Thailand's readiness to continue working closely with the FBINAAT and global law enforcement networks to develop human resources, exchange knowledge and technology and build stronger international partnerships to respond to new and evolving threats. Such cooperation, he said, will contribute to greater public safety, security and quality of life worldwide.
The conference brought together representatives of more than 150 law enforcement agencies from 26 countries.
