Govt decides to allow women in NDA, ASG tells SC

New Delhi: Government has decided to allow women in National Defence Academy, Additional Solicitor General Aishwarya Bhati told the Supreme Court on Wednesday.

ASG Bhati, appearing for the Centre, informed the bench led by Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and M.M. Sundresh, said that the decision has been taken in consultation with the Armed Forces and government has decided to allow women for PC in the armed forces through the NDA and the Naval Academy.

"I am delighted to share this. Girls will be admitted in NDA. We will place a detailed affidavit," Bhati said. The ASG sought some time to place developments on the affidavit. (UNI)
