Governor to visit remote tribal habitations in Bhadradri Kothagudem district

Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan will visit remote tribal habitations of Pusukunta in Dammapeta mandal and various other places in Bhadradri-Kothagudem district on April 11 and 12. 

As part of her pilot project aimed at improving the nutritional status of the people belonging to the Kondareddi tribe, the Governor will launch a series of initiatives at Pusukunta and Gogulapudi, the two adopted tribal habitations of the Kondareddi tribe. 

On Monday, the Governor will attend the traditional celestial Pattabhishekam ceremony at the Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy temple in the temple town of Bhadrachalam. 

Later in the day, Dr. Tamilsiai Soundararajan will attend the traditional “Seemantham” ceremony of tribal women organised by the Vanvasi Kalyan Ashramam at the Veerabhadra function hall in Bhadrachalam. 

The Governor will also visit the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Blood Bank and will review the functioning of the IRCS’ Bhadradri Kothagudem district branch. 

On the same day, the Governor will visit the Jagadamba Sametha Jayalingeshwara Swamy temple at Nacharam village in Dammaipet mandal and will offer prayers. 

On the second day of her tour, the Governor will visit Koddareddi tribal habitations at Pusukunta in Dammapeta mandal and will interact with the tribal people of Pusukunta and Gogulapudi habitations to know their issues first hand and will launch series of initiatives.

Later, the Governor will visit the Heavy Water Plant in Manuguru mandal, a Raj Bhavan press release said.
