Australia's Governor-General David Hurley has contracted COVID-19.
A spokesperson said the Governor-General had received two vaccine doses and a booster shot prior to becoming infected, and was experiencing mild symptoms.
He is isolating at Admiralty House, his Sydney residence, but will continue to perform his official duties remotely.
General Hurley is the latest high-profile political figure to test positive — on Friday, federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg revealed he had tested positive for COVID-19 and was isolating with his family.
Mr Frydenberg said on Twitter he was experiencing "the common symptoms" associated with the virus.
Then on Saturday, South Australian Premier Steven Marshall announced he was in isolation after his daughter tested positive.
He had a PCR test on Saturday afternoon but said he was not showing symptoms and was feeling well.
