DWP support provider Reed in Partnership has taken significant office space on the outskirts of York.
The organisation is to provide the Restart Scheme for jobseekers in the North East and Humber regions.
Helmsley Group’s Arabesque House at Monks Cross will host the team, with 6,200 sq ft taken. They join Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, Drivespeed Group, TCS John Huxley, Eurofins and Anytime Fitness at the out-of-town location.

George Baines, asset manager of the York-based property development and investment company, said: “This is an important letting to Reed in Partnership as it delivers a flagship government programme.
“Arabesque House continues to prove popular with businesses, especially those that require out of town space and are adopting flexible working practices in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.”
The Restart Scheme will provide Universal Credit claimants who have been out of work for at least 12 months with enhanced support to find jobs in their local area.
It forms part of the government’s Plan for Jobs, which is helping people across the country – many of whom have had their employment status impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Reed in Partnership will undertake its own fit out of the office space.

The letting also follows the DWP taking almost 25,000 sq ft of space at Helmsley’s Princess House in Northampton earlier this year.
Savills and Bowcliffe are jointly acting as agents to market the remaining space.
