An orange forest fire warning has been issued by the Government as temperatures are expected to rise.
The forest fire warning is saying that there is a high risk of fire, especially in the west of Ireland and will be in effect until Friday.
The Department of Agriculture said: “Fire risk is likely to be highest in westernmost areas with lowest expected humidity levels in coming days.”
The orange warning means that there is a significant risk of fire in areas that are in the proximity of hazardous fuel.

The Department are asking the public to be careful and vigilant in the case of an extreme fire and to report it immediately.
The Departement said: “Be particularly vigilant at Bank Holiday weekends where high risk weather is forecast. Cooperation between neighbouring landowners is critical to successful fire prevention.”
The public has also been advised to move to fuel-free and open areas in the event of a forest fire.
Under Irish law it is illegal to burn or destroy vegetation between March 1st and August 31st and can lead to a higher risk of fire.
If this is seen it has been strongly advised to be reported to authorities.
