Goulston Road: Arrests after man found with serious injuries in garden

Two men have been arrested after a man was found with serious injuries in a garden in south Bristol.

Police cordoned off a section of Goulston Road, in Bishopsworth this morning (July 22).

In a statement, Avon and Somerset Police said: "Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was found with serious injuries in a garden in Goulston Road, Bishopsworth at about 4.30am today, Wednesday 22 July.

"A man in his 30s is receiving hospital treatment for cuts to his head and a serious injury to his hand.

"Thankfully his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening."

Investigating officers have arrested two men in connection with the incident and seized a car.

Both men remain in police custody at the time of writing.

A resident living on the street said her security camera shows a car going up the road.

She said: “You can hear ‘Get in the car, get in the car’ and then a car comes speeding past my house.

“It screeches round the road end, then a bit later an ambulance followed by a police car leave my street and now it’s taped off.”
