Gotham Knights: How to unlock fast travel

Gotham has turned into a typical open world in Gotham Knights and, as such, you’ll have the ability to explore it quickly and smoothly, thanks to the fast travel feature. This feature isn’t available right away, and you’ll need to unlock it. For everything you need to know to unlock fast travel and get around Gotham quickly, just read through our guide below.

How to unlock fast travel in Gotham Knights

Once you complete the prologue and access the open world, you’ll notice a few icons on your map, including Lucius Fox’s. He’ll want to talk to you, as you’ll often be reminded by Alfred, about new technologies that will help you through your mission. You shouldn’t keep him waiting, as this is the only way you’ll be able to unlock fast travel in Gotham Knights

As soon as you reach him, Lucius will tell you that each of Gotham’s districts features several drones patrolling their perimeter (not very successfully, right?). You’ll be tasked with scanning them in AR mode, and then you’ll be able to fast travel to these locations thanks to that fancy Wayne-exclusive technology.

How to disable shielded drones in Gotham Knights

Depending on the locations you unlock, this process might be quick and easy, with one or two drones requiring your AR mode scan. In select locations there will be three drones, and some of those will even be protected by a blue shield. In order to bypass the shield, you’ll have to follow the drone along its patrol path and wait for it to land in a recharge station.

That’s the only moment you’ll be able to scan it, but you’ll need to move quickly: the drone will stay shield-less for just a few seconds and, after that, it’ll get back to flying and patrolling, and you’ll have to wait for it to land again to restart the process. We recommend you play Lucius’ missions as soon as possible, as the second half of the main story will require you to move from one side of the map to another several times, which might get tedious without your fast travel ability.
