Gotham Knights: How long to beat and New Game Plus

Gotham Knights is a typical open-world action-RPG, allowing you to explore the entirety of Gotham City during the night and, by day, analyze all the evidence gathered so you can move on to the next story beat.

You might be wondering how long it takes to beat Gotham Knights, what you can do once you complete the main story, and whether or not there is New Game Plus. We’re here to answer your questions.

How long to beat Gotham Knights?

Gotham Knights is made up of Nights, with each night moving on anytime you get back to the Belfry, your main hub where Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin meet up every morning. Since you can move to the next night anytime you wish, the total number of Nights doesn’t really matter when it comes to your progression through the story.

Instead, what matters is the number of chapters/missions you’ll have to play throughout the main storyline so you can see the end of it. It’s precisely 8.2, which, according to our Steam log, took us 19.2 hours. This amount takes into account a bunch of side activities, gathering some collectibles, and the usual bit of trial and error during puzzle sections. If you plan to explore more and complete every side activity, it could take you longer.

Does Gotham Knights have New Game+?

Once you complete the main story, you have two options. The first one is to keep playing after the ending, getting back into all the unfinished activities on the map as you left them after your final mission. As far as we’ve been able to see, you won’t unlock endgame activities, so it’s just a matter of cleaning up the map from all the side quests you didn’t complete in your playthrough.

Your second option, available in the main menu as soon as you finish the main quest, is New Game Plus. Playing the NG+ in Gotham Knights, you’ll be able to start the story anew, face higher-level enemies, keep your characters’ progress, and raise the level cap to 40.
