'Got to be high on the wish list' - Lee Bowyer is set for Leeds United return and fans are delighted

Leeds United will come face to face with a familiar name in the Championship next season, as former Peacocks ace Lee Bowyer has sealed a spot in the division for his side.

Bowyer's Charlton Athletic secured a dramatic victory at Wembley over Sunderland to seal promotion to the second tier, following in the footsteps of Luton Town and Barnsley.

The Addicks are back in the division for the first time since 2016 and, although his future is not fully confirmed, is expected to remain in the dugout for the club next season.

That will see Bowyer face off against his former employers and Whites fans quickly took to social media to express their delight at the situation.
