Gossip Girl fans have been introduced to the characters starring in the forthcoming reboot on Instagram.
A series of posts on the official Instagram account for HBO Max’s Gossip Girl reboot unveiled the new faces and their respective character traits.
For Jordan Alexander’s Julien Calloway, for example, “influence” is the top priority. Whitney Peak’s Zoya Lott focusses on “perspective” while Thomas Doherty’s Max Wolfe is all about “freedom”.
The posts also revealed additional cast members Evan Mock, Eli Brown, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Zion Moreno and Savannah Smith.
HBO Max’s Gossip Girl reboot is set eight years after the original series ended, and centres on a new generation of New York private school teenagers who are find themselves under the watchful eye of Gossip Girl.
According to the broadcaster, “the prestige series will address just how much social media – and the landscape of New York itself – has changed in the intervening years”. It set to premiere in 2021.
