Gorry eager for more after Roar ALW return

Having made a shock return to the pitch off the bench in last week's A-League Women defeat to Perth Glory, Brisbane Roar midfielder Katrina Gorry is pushing for a start against the same opposition on Friday.

Gorry came on in the 68th minute of Brisbane's 2-1 loss to the Glory at Macedonia Park in Perth, returning to the game three months after giving birth to baby daughter Harper.

It was a taste that has the Matilda eager for more.

"I've spent a few days reflecting on it and how much it meant to me obviously," Gorry told AAP.

"I've come back pretty quickly but I feel really good.

"Harper's been amazing for me to get back. Sleep's been really good and, yeah, she's just been awesome to cruise along with us.

"Really thankful for her and for the team for being so supportive of me.

"Always pushing for a start but I don't know. We'll find out in the next 24 hours and either way I'll be ready for whatever my role is."

The Roar suffered a disappointing late collapse out west in their season opener after Anna Margraf's first-half goal had given them the lead.

Glory equalised in the 88th minute via Susan Phonsongkham before a calamitous own goal by Roar goalkeeper Georgina Worth in added time gifted the hosts the three points.

Gorry backed Worth to bounce back from her error and said the Roar were eager to set the record straight on Friday.

"A quick turnaround is always good to showcase what we can do and I guess our mental side of the game as well," she said.

"You lose a game you have to come back and we get to do that all again tomorrow."

Matildas legend Lisa De Vanna is expected to travel to Queensland despite coming off in last week's win with a calf niggle while the fixture has been moved to Brisbane's Perry Park after heavy rain caused pitch deterioration at original venue, the Gold Coast Croatian Sports Centre.
