Gorka Marquez's emotional reunion with Gemma Atkinson and Mia after 3 months

Gorka Marquez had an emotional reunion with his partner Gemma Atkinson and their one-year-old daughter Mia after three months apart.

The Strictly Come Dancing star hasn't been able to see his family since October, as he formed a bubble for the show with his celebrity partner Maisie Smith.

As Gorka returned home following the final show Gemma shared an adorable snap of his homecoming and captioned them: "HOME. After 78 days he’s home."

Gorka also shared some cute photos as he reunited with his loved ones.

Gorka hugged Mia in the snaps and he captioned the photos: "HOME (love heart emoji)"

Fans and fellow Strictly stars felt his emotion after he uploaded the cute photos - reports Mirror Online.

Dianne Buswell wrote: "Love love love"

And Giovanni Pernice said: "The best pic ever!"

Gorka went all the way to the final, falling just short as he and Maisie Smith lost out on the Glitterball to Bill Bailey on Saturday night.

He appeared on It Takes Two alongside his celebrity partner ahead of the final this weekend and admitted he'd found it hard spending so much time away from his family.

Host Rylan Clark Neal said: "Gorka, you’ve had two months away from your family as well, we know how much you love them.

"Surely getting to the final now with Maisie going the full way is a little bit of a consolation for it?"

Gorka replied: "Obviously there were times where I thought, 'What am I doing? Why am I not going home?'

"It’s very hard to be away from Gemma and Mia.

"But coming into the studio every day and to have Maisie there pushing and smiling trying to be her best, it pays off."

Former Hollyoaks star Gemma shared her feelings about her partner being away for so long in a heartfelt Instagram post last week.

The actress wrote: "We all have different circumstances & situations. I get lots of msgs from ppl asking how I've coped juggling mum & work-life alone…

"Firstly, my family are close by and help me massively! Mia's Nana & Grandad are incredible and I couldn’t do it without them. I’ve always been good on my own though too.

"That’s not to say I don’t miss Gorks, I miss him terribly & I can’t wait to have him home. But I’ve lived alone since I was 17, and since we met our jobs have always taken one of us away for a few wks at a time..."
