Gorka Marquez's BBC Strictly co-star says 'explain please' as he poses for shirtless snap with reaction from Gemma Atkinson

Gorka Marquez has been sent a message by his Strictly Come Dancing co-star asking him to 'explain' as he showed off his impressive physique in a shirtless snap. The professional dancer took to his Instagram profile with not one but two snaps of himself tensing his muscles in the mirror.

Gorka, 32, appeared to have been finishing up a workout in the gym at his home in Greater Manchester. And his string of fresh images caught the attention of his fiancee Gemma Atkinson, who is currently pregnant with the couple's second child.

"Trying to keep up the holiday tan," the Spanish dancer wrote in the caption of the images that showed him sporting just his gym shorts and a pair of trainers. Hits Radio host Gemma, 38, was quick to respond to the post, simply sharing a string of love heart eyes emojis in the comments section.

Former Emmerdale star Antony Quinlan wrote: "Go on mate," while Strictly's Nancy Xu gushed: "HAAAAAAAATTTTT," alongside a string of flame emojis. But it was fellow dancer and Strictly co-star Nikita Kuzmin who replied: "Ok explain please how do I have to dance proudly shirtless next to you my friend."

He was referring to the fact that the pair are currently in rehearsals together ahead of the Strictly Professionals nationwide tour which kicks off next month. But Gorka was quick to big up his pal as he replied: "As you do!"

Last week Gemma left a cheeky comment on one of her fiance's Instagram post after he suffered a social media backlash. The Strictly star was left furious at the start of last week after holiday snaps he shared on the social media platform were removed for being 'violent'.

He claimed that his attempt to share some snaps from his recent family getaway were blocked. Gorka, 32, and Gemma ditched Greater Manchester and headed for sunnier climes for the start of the half-term break last week and have recently been taking to social media to share glimpses into their last holiday as a family-of-three.

The loved-up couple announced back in January that Mia, three, was set to become a big sister as they were expecting their second child together. But Gorka re-uploaded the string of images which saw him and Mia playing on the beach and in the sea with a caption which read: "So @instagram took down these pics for apparently being too violent." He then asked: "What you guys think??" before asking for their support by adding: "Double tap if you don’t agree." Gorka also issued the same request by copying the post to his Instagram Story before adding in a hashtag: "Best holiday."

Instagram says it removes content - such as a post, comment or story - from the platform when it finds that it goes against its Community Guidelines. But you can now appeal the removal of photos, or the disabling of your account, directly through the Instagram app.

However, Gorka's former post did appear to return to his main grid with a caption which read: "Last day chasing waves and building sand Castles. Best holiday and already dreaming of next one. Photo spam incoming." But the first and second attempts to share the string of snaps again failed and disappeared.

Eventually Gorka shared a different set of images, still showing him enjoying the golden sand with his little girl, and said: "Holiday memories… Hopefully this one stay up." And Hits Radio host Gemma wasted no time in responding, writing: "Posts are up and down like a brides nighty," alongside a crying laughing emoji.
