Gorka Márquez opens up on ‘pain’ of non-stop dancing after Strictly exit

Gorka Marquez has spoken about the “pain” of constant dancing following his his exit from Strictly Come Dancing.

On Tuesday (28 April) the Spanish star, 35, announced that he would be leaving the BBC show after 10 years. He said he was grateful to the show “for everything” but it was “now time to take a step back”.

Speaking on his podcast Lost in Translation with partner Gemma Atkinson, who he met on the show in 2017, Marcquez discussed the physical toll of constant dancing.

“Dancing from nine in the morning to 10 in the night. Yeah. Full out. It's painful,” he said on Wednesday (29 April), adding that his feet and back are all sore.
