Gorka Marquez distracts Strictly co-stars amid plea for support as he fumes over 'violent' holiday snaps

Gorka Marquez caused a distraction for his Strictly Come Dancing stars and his fans as he pleaded for their support. The professional dancer was left furious after holiday snaps he shared on Instagram were removed for being 'violent', he claimed.

Gorka has just jetted back from a sunshine-filled getaway with his fiancee Gemma Atkinson and their daughter, Mia. The trio ditched Greater Manchester and headed for sunnier climes for the start of the half-term break last week and have recently been taking to social media to share glimpses into their last holiday as a family-of-three.

The loved-up couple announced back in January that Mia, three, was set to become a big sister as they were expecting their second child together. Bury-born Gemma shared the news as it had become "impossible" to hide her baby bump any longer, telling fans they would be welcoming a baby boy this summer.

And pregnant Gemma, 38, shared how she had 'crazy feelings of emotions' as the sun set on her last holiday before giving birth to her second child. Posting a video of her and Mia taking in the view from the sea, Gemma wrote on her Instagram Story: "Last sunset in the sea for a while..." adding a face holding back tears emoji and a red heart.

She then followed up the post with an image of her and her little girl standing with the sand between their toes as the sea rocked back and forth in front of them. Adding a GIF which read: "My little lady," Gemma then wrote: "Crazy feelings of emotions right now. Knowing this is the last time our holiday is just us, but also the excitement of the next one with my son as well." She then added: "Parenting is a full on rollercoaster indeed."

Gorka, 32, also took to Instagram to share some snaps from their family getaway as they enjoyed spending time on the beach and in the sea. But the Strictly star appeared to face a setback as he re-uploaded the string of images with a caption which read: "So @instagram took down these pics for apparently being too violent."

He then asked: "What you guys think??" before asking for their support by adding: "Double tap if you don’t agree." Gorka also issued the same request by copying the post to his Instagram Story before adding in a hashtag: "Best holiday." Strictly co-star Carlos Gu was among the first to reply, writing: "Most beautiful photos I’ve seen lately. Love of Family."

But fellow dancer Neil Jones was a bit more distracted as he commented: "I know you call them arms but apparently some people call them guns, maybe that's it." And pal Fraser Knox also quipped: "To be fair you may have put a few fans in hospital from overheating."

While fan @christinewilkinson72 joked: "I’m all for seeing Gorka in his birthday suit." And @stellabird46 cheekily penned: "Well those pecs could have someone's eye out." They also showed their support as @dlq67 said: "Gorgeous pictures of a loving Daddy , Mummy and their little girl... Obviously some people have too much time on their hands to report them.."

@lindsay_1067 wrote: "I don’t understand. Where is it violent." @melaniemacwilliam replied: "They are beautiful pics. It’s probably because Mia has no top on. It used to happen to my pics too - it was fine for my three boys but not for my little girl." @williamsjoanne added: "It shows a lovely family enjoying a family holiday."

Instagram says it removes remove content (example: post, comment, story) from Instagram when they find that it goes against its Community Guidelines. But uou can now appeal the removal of photos or the disabling of your account directly through your Instagram app.

However, Gorka's former post appears to have returned to his main grid with a caption which read: "Last day chasing waves and building sand Castles. Best holiday and already dreaming of next one. Photo spam incoming."
