Gordon Ramsay was unrecognisable as he disguised himself as a client on his reality TV series 24 Hours to Hell and Back.
The celebrity chef used extensive facial prosthetics – including a fake nose, a grey beard, glasses and make-up – to play the role of an elderly historian, and trick restaurant staff into treating him like a regular customer.
Later in the episode, the notoriously foul-mouthed restaurateur revealed his true identity to the staff at an eatery in Elliot City, Maryland.
Ramsay spent the episode in Elliot City trying to revitalise three local business which had been left badly hit by storms in 2018.
The chef has made a habit of donning elaborate disguises to infiltrate his subject’s businesses, but few have been as successful as this one.
24 Hours to Hell and Back sees Ramsay attempt to turn around a different struggling restaurant each week within the space of 24 hours.
