Gordon Ramsay told to 'get a grip' by furious fans over 'rip-off' fry-up

Gordon Ramsay has come under fire for an "extortionately priced" breakfast he was advertising at one of his restaurants.

Celebrity chef Gordon, 53, revealed that a new fry-up would be joining the menu at his Savoy Grill restaurant from September 21.

The restaurant will be charging customers £19 for the brekkie which includes two eggs, one sausage, a few strips of bacon, one tomato and one mushroom.

He shared the news on Twitter with a picture of "the most amazing Full English" breakfast with his 7.4 million followers.

But it didn't take long for fans to criticise its steep price, and mock the professional chef by comparing it to their own fry-ups.

Additional sides will also cost £5 each - something else that frustrated customers.

They include: St Ewe egg - any style, smoked salmon, pork sausage, smoked backed bacon, black pudding, grilled mushroom and tomato.

In reply to the mouth-watering video that Gordon shared of the breakfast, one person said: "Wow £19 for that breakfast...also where’s the Beans..."

Another added: "Can't wait for you to try it!!!!! Are the sides £5 each or is that for all of them???? Who is mug enough to pay a fiver for one sausage??? Get a grip GR."

A third said: "£19. If you want black pudding, it'll cost you an extra fiver. File under 'rip off'."

Another shared a picture of their budget-friendly fry-up: "Gordon I like ya but come on son... £19..... Having a giraffe!! £5 this cost me, all freshly cooked, local ingredients tasty and home made hash browns... that’s a breakfast."

And: "It just an £19 embarrassment" said a fifth.

Do you think it's worth the money?
