Gordon Ramsay slams chef for deep frying Wagyu steak - but fans aren't happy

Gordon Ramsay has criticised a chef for the odd way he cooked a piece of Wagyu steak.

The 54-year-old celebrity chef who is famous for both his love of meat and his blasé attitude blasted a chef on TikTok as part of his #RamsayReacts series, where he roasts home cooks who are attempting to get his attention with their weirdest and wackiest food creations.

Gordon's latest victim is Guga, known as @gugafoods, who's known for his crazy food experiments, with one being his deep-fried Wagyu tomahawk.

For those who don't know, Wagyu beef is a type of steak that comes from a special breed of Japanese cow bred for optimal fat marbling, which requires the proper preparation to do it justice.

But it appears Guga's wagyu steak was too adventurous for Gordon as he called it a "crime against Wagyu."

From the opening moments of the video, which has since been viewed more than 5.2 million times, Ramsay is horrified.

As Guga pulls the steak from the pot of oil, Gordon exclaims: "Oh come on, you have got to be kidding me. You never ever deep fry a tomahawk steak!"

And by the end of the short video Ramsay can't hold back his disgust, reacting with: "What do I think? You've lost the plot."

Since being posted, the video has racked up more than 416,000 likes and thousands of comments from loyal Guga fans who defended the deep-fried steak.

One person said: "Bro chill, Guga deserves respect."

Another added: "It's a CRIME to diss Guga! He does experiments for his YouTube, it's his job to try different things! It's like judging a scientist for experimenting."

Whilst someone else put: "Never dis Guga Gordon."

"Sadly I would pick Guga over Gordon any day," said a fourth viewer.
