Gordon Ramsay slammed by Saturday Night Takeaway viewers for insulting Scots woman's teeth

Gordon Ramsay has been slammed for ‘insulting’ a Scottish woman’s teeth on live TV.

The ill-tempered Scots chef took part on the Read My Lips game on this week’s Saturday Night Takeaway with Ant and Dec.

Ramsay, who is well-known for his bad language in the kitchen, was warned not to swear by the pair on tonight’s show.

The rules were quickly thrown out the window as the 54-year-old blurted out the word p***ed, forcing Ant McPartlin into an apology to the audience.

But fans of the show became angry on social media as he went on to make a harsh comment about a viewer’s teeth.

The contestant attempted to mouth the word ‘garlic bread’ to Gordon, who claimed that he couldn’t understand because of the gap in her teeth.

“It’s the gap in her teeth, I can’t understand what you are saying”, he said during the show.

One person wrote on Twitter: “I think Gordon Ramsay needs to apologise about the comment he made about the lady’s front teeth. How insulting and humiliating for her. You might have found it funny, but it might have been something she doesn’t feel that confident with, and you knock it even more.”

Another said: “I can’t believe Gordon Ramsay just insulted that lady’s teeth live on prime time TV. I’m so disgusted, I’ve switched it off.”

A third commented: “Disgusting that Gordon Ramsay just insulted that lady on live TV because she has a gap in her teeth.”

The Hell’s Kitchen star, who was born in Johnstone, is no stranger to controversy.

Earlier this week, Falkirk residents hit back at the celeb chef after he branded the town a ’s***hole’ on his new BBC One quiz show Bank Balance.

The programme saw one contestant duo mistakingly name the Scots town as one of the five cities in Scotland.

Ramsay then told them that he was born in Scotland, and that “Falkirk is not a city. It’s a s***hole, I swear to God.”
