Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay shocked vans by sharing a video on his Instagram account saying he was 'turning vegan'.
The chef then showed how to cook a vegan meal - steak made from aubergine.
Gordon shot the 'confession' in one of his professional kitchens, saying: "Hi guys, it’s Gordon. I’ve got a confession.
"After three decades of cooking, hundreds and hundreds of thousands of hours behind the stove, I’m turning vegan."
After the minute-long demonstration of his vegan cooking abilities - which seemed to include dairy-based butter - Gordon rewound the demo.
It was then he revealed his vegan conversion was "for lunch only".
His video has been watched more than 1.5million times.
A number of fans were taken in by the prank. SarahSmile replied: "You scared me for a second! But it looks amazing!"
