Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Tilly could be learning all about a new F word – the Foxtrot – as rumours are swirling that she is set to join the cast of Strictly Come Dancing 2020.
The 18-year-old daughter of 53-year-old sweary TV chef Gordon has been approached by the BBC to feature in the star line up of the suggested upcoming 18th season of the long running dance competition.
And it seems the Beeb are keen to snap up the teenager to take part in the show after using other younger contestants like YouTube star Joe Suggs to attract younger viewers to the mild mannered reality contest.
Tilly has already taken after her father by branching out as a chef and featuring on TV shows including Masterchef Junior and Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch, making her something of a celebrity in her own right and eligible to compete as a famous face on the BBC show.
A source told The Sun: “Tilly is already popular with younger viewers from her shows on CBBC and bosses think she could bring that audience with her.
“They’ve already seen Joe Sugg, Karim Zeroual and Saffron Barker bring in new fans to the show and they hope she could do the same.
“Tilly is keen to be a star in her own right, rather than just being known as Gordon’s daughter, and Strictly could be a great way for her to come out of her father’s shadow.”
The source added that the teen had been offered the chance to either feature in the 2020 series or one in 2021.
While other younger names currently linked to the upcoming series include social media influencers Zoella and Sophie Hinchcliffe.
It is still unclear if the 2020 series will go ahead, however, as the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has thrown doubt onto the possibility of the series going ahead.
A number of well loved reality shows and contests have already been derailed by the killer virus.
ITV viewers were left devastated after bosses pulled the plug on Love Island – which usually films in Majorca – over travel, health, and insurance worries.
While entertainment variety show Britain’s Got Talent opted to press ahead with pre-recorded audition rounds of the series, but will run out when the time comes for live shows, with it unclear exactly how, or when, the current series will continue.
