Gordon Ramsay's son Oscar sports Rangers kit to practise football skills in garden

Gordon Ramsay's youngest son Oscar has been kicking back in the English heatwave sporting a Rangers kit.

The tot has delighted fans of the Scots chef by honing his football skills as he wears the strip of his dad's favourite team.

The Michelin starred TV star is passing on his love for the beautiful game down to Oscar, three, who was all smiles posing in the shirt. The toddler is often described as his dad's double, as followers frequently point out the similarities between the father/son duo.

Gordon and wife Tana are proud parents to five children in total - Meghan, 23, twins Holly and Jack, 22, Tilly, 20, and three-year-old Oscar. The family recently uploaded a sweet snap of the youngest Ramsay child enjoying the sunshine in his football gear.

Fans loved the sweet snaps of the toddler and took to the comments. One said: "Big little man you are growing up in front of our eyes! What wonderful things you have in front of you to experience!"

Another commented: "Awwwww a lil big cutie like his daddy bless him," A third joked: "No no Oscar, that’s the wrong team entirely. Please take that jersey off and put on the one with the green and white hoops!! If you don’t have one, Kitkat will bring you one!!"

The Hell's Kitchen chef, who is known for his fiery temper, is a big Gers fan and according to his autobiography he played "a couple of non-league matches as a trialist for Rangers" when he was 17. During a recent trip to Scotland, Gordon visited Rangers Training Centre and posed for photos with delighted players and fans.

The official Rangers Instagram and Twitter accounts posted a series of snaps of Gordon sporting a Gers shirt with 'CHEF RAMSAY' on the back. In the first picture the Scots chef posed with the Dutch manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst as he presented him with his new shirt.

In the next snap, John Lundstram gave the thumbs up as he got his picture with the famous chef. Gordon posed with several other members of staff before being snapped in deep conversation with Gers captain James Tavernier - with the pair both in blue.

Gordon's first love was football as he set his sights early on a career as a professional sports star. In an article for The Guardian, Gordon explained how he first fell in love with the game of soccer. "My uncle Roland took me to my first game at Ibrox," he wrote.

"I was seven and I went on his shoulders. The crowd was just phenomenal. "We were standing by the terraces and I remember getting slightly nervous, and very scared. Because you just swayed then, you just moved in a sway formation.

"I think it was against Hearts and it was dirty — I mean very dirty — and Rangers won 1-0. Those games are always going to be dirty for the next century, because it's just an all-blood tie. And I loved it."

Impressively, at just 15, Ramsay had joined Rangers - a real full circle moment for the budding star. However, his football dream was short lived and after just three years, in 1985, Gordon got a knee injury which permanently ended his sporting career.

Forced to start over, he returned to school, earning a degree in hotel management in 1987 - but he seems to be passing on his love of the sport and his team to young Oscar.
