Gordon Ramsay's daughter Holly marks two years of sobriety after hitting ‘rock bottom’

Gordon Ramsay's daughter Holly, who celebrated two years of sobriety this week, said how she quit booze after hitting "rock bottom".

The Podcast creator took to Instagram to share the milestone and took a moment to thank her loved ones.

The 22-year-old said how grateful she was for her family and friend's "endless love" and that she plans on using her voice to break the stigma around going sober.

In a short message to her followers, she wrote: "Today marks two years since I last had alcohol. Two years ago today I hit rock bottom, I was terrified.

"I certainly didn’t think I would be where I am today both physically and mentally. I’ve fought every day since to get where I am today.

"I am so grateful to so many people for their support, encouragement and endless love. I will continue to learn and grow every day. I feel lucky to be able to use my voice to raise awareness and break the stigma around mental health.

"Sending love to anyone who needs it today and always. One day at a time."

Followers rushed to congratulate her in the comment section.

"So proud of you Holly," another chimed, while a third wrote: "Awesome!"

The TV chef's daughter previously opened up about being sexually assaulted twice at the age of 18, which left her with PTSD.

Tragically, she then spent three months in a mental health hospital after she struggled to cope.

Speaking on her 21 & Over podcast, Holly said: "I went to university, studied fashion design, and I loved it. But by the second half of the first year, I was being affected by my PTSD and I had no idea that this was happening.

"I was going out a lot, missing class because I’d been out. I wasn’t enjoying myself at all. I was struggling a lot.

"The PTSD was a result of two sexual assaults when I was 18. I didn’t tell anyone about it until a year afterwards. I just buried it in a box in the back of my mind."

She frequently talks about mental health and sobriety on Instagram and in one Q&A she spoke about the difficulties of going teetotal at such a young age.

She was asked the question: "how important is it to cut out alcohol when you struggle daily with mental health."

She replied: "This isn’t a “one size fits all” answer…

"For me, cutting out alcohol has made me so much more present, I’m able to have more fun & I’m in control. Alcohol + antidepressants don’t mix well. I made the decision to put my physical and mental health first."

She continued: "It can be lonely not drinking especially at this age as it’s such a big part of our social lives.. but you will find the right people who don’t even care that you’re not drinking and are just happy you’re with them."
