Gordon Ramsay's angry neighbours blame star for 'bringing coronavirus to Cornwall'

Gordon Ramsay's riled-up neighbours accused the star of bringing coronavirus to Cornwall.

The chef has been isolating at one of his three homes in Cornwall with his wife Tanya and their kids: Megan, 22, Holly, 20, Jack, 20, Matilda, 18, and Oscar, one.

They have become a target of the angry locals ever since their arrival in Cornwall after they fled their townhouse in London.

Residents have threatened to report the Ramsay family to the police for isolating at their £4.4million home in Cornwall, one of their three £11million property portfolio in the area.

Among the crowds, one wrote: "Don't you realise that by doing that you've possibly brought the virus with you and because Cornwall is not your main residence, if you and your family get sick you will place yet more strain on an already fragile infrastructure."

Tensions have been rising since the UK was placed into lockdown to stop the spread of coronavirus while the NHS battled the disease on the frontline.

The Ramsay family haven't broken the rules as they headed to their holiday home at the start of lockdown.

Despite this, Gordon and his family have been bombarded with complaints from Cornwall locals wanting them to be "escorted" back to London.

Others added: "Surely the police should be knocking on Gordon Ramsay's door and escorting him back to London."

"Good to hear that Gordon Ramsay too doesn't think the rules apply to him, and has apparently moved himself and his family to his luxury second home in Cornwall. Makes you wonder why the police is not doing anything."

The Mirror have approached Gordon Ramsay's representatives for further comment.

But Gordon was keen to prove his family haven't been shunned by all the locals.

The TV chef was elated to receive a gift of home-grown asparagus from kind neighbours.

"Now what a lovely, beautiful, generous little gift," he said.

"C’mon, seriously, that’s literally growing in the back of my garden.

"Now that’s what I call love thy neighbour, see? That’s how you look after each other across these difficult times. There you go."

However, the TV chef couldn't resist making cooking up a spat when he made a dig at the nasty neighbours.

He quipped: "I’m sure one local will whinge about the asparagus. God bless you."
