Gordon Ramsay panics his pet cat has died while playing with young son

Gordon Ramsay was left fearing his pet cat had died while he was chasing around his youngest son during a playful afternoon.

The 53-year-old father-of-five was playing with his youngest son, one-year-old toddler Oscar, on Friday afternoon.

Taking to Instagram to document their father-son-bonding afternoon, Gordon shared video of himself chasing Oscar around his living room.

However, the Kitchen Nightmares star was left in a panic that his cat was dead when Oscar’s boisterous actions failed to stir the sleeping family cat.

Sharing video online, Gordon could be heard first of all asking his son: “Excuse me, hey, where's your shoe?" while chasing him around.

Footage showed the TV star dad dashing after his toddler son – who at one point collided with an armchair in which the family cat was asleep.

Gordon grew alarmed when the kitty didn’t react to the jolt of the chair – and immediately jumped to the worst case scenario.

Gordon could be heard saying: "Oops, the cat... Is it dead? Is it..."

The chef’s hand could then be seen gently poking the cream and grey coloured animal, who then reacted.

Gordon then gushed: "Oh no, it's alive - thank god for that!"

Gordon is threatening to revive his TV show, Kitchen Nightmares (FOX Image Collection)

Gordon’s cat is not the only thing being revived by the TV star – as reports have revealed he plans to bring back his show Kitchen Nightmares after a 16 year absence.

A TV insider claimed: "He’s always wanted to bring Hell’s Kitchen back to British TV and he wouldn’t want anyone else to be fronting its revival.

The news of a revival comes just days after reports suggested Gordon had encouraged David Beckham to move into the world of TV cookery – with reports suggesting the footballer is pitching a show to Netflix.
