Gordon Ramsay leaves Chris Moyles’ Radio X show in chaos as he swears live on-air

Gordon Ramsay’s appearance on Chris Moyles’ breakfast show descended into chaos on Tuesday morning (January 10) after he swore live on-air.

The TV star, who is known for his fondness of dropping an expletive or two, joined fellow chef Paul Ainsworth on Moyles’ Radio X show where the presenter joked that Ramsay seemed a “bit nervous” and cheekily asked if it was “his first interview”.

Laughing at Moyles’ quip, the Kitchen Nightmares star responded: “Thank you so much for having me on. I’m so f**king excited!”

Ramsey’s expletive slip-up left Moyles and his producing team gasping in panic as they tried to minimise him turning the air momentarily blue.

Trying to get the show back on track, Moyles weighed in: “Oh my! Language already! You just said the F-bomb.”

In an attempt to quell the fallout, Ramsay hilariously claimed that the team had told him there was a seven-second broadcast delay and that his swearing could be bleeped out.

The 56-year-old stuttered: “You said there’s a bleep! You said there’s [sic] seven seconds behind!”

As the team denied it, Ramsay also claimed Moyles told him about the delay: “You sent me a text before I came in here – ‘You’re fine in case something slips out’.”

To which the veteran broadcaster quipped: “Gordon, you’ve never replied to a text from me since 2010!”

While the producing team and Moyles apologised to listeners, the Michelin-starred chef chimed in: “Okay, my apologies. I’m sorry! Why didn’t you tell me?”

Moyles then joked to fellow guest, chef Paul Ainsworth: “Paul, why didn’t you pick Jamie Oliver?”

The show’s listeners took to Twitter to share their delight over Ramsay’s foul-mouthed slip-up.

One penned: “Gordon Ramsay with the F Bomb on @RadioX, great start to the day.”

“Loved @GordonRamsay dropping the F bomb on @RadioX,” another remarked on the micro-blogging site.

A third tweeted: “I don’t think I have laughed so much during a chat on the radio as I did when listening to @GordonRamsay and @ChrisMoyles on @RadioX. Absolutely fantastic!!”
