Gordon Ramsay 'in talks' with ITV to bring back Hell's Kitchen after 16 years

Gordon Ramsay is apparently in talks with ITV to bring back Hell's Kitchen after sixteen years.

The celebrity chef, 53 could make a return to the explosive cookery show which was a hit around the world.

The iconic reality TV show saw ten celebrities compete to create edible masterpieces with very little time on the clock.

Hell's Kitchen last aired on British TV screens in 2009, but Gordan hasn't fronted the show in over sixteen years.

A source close to the outspoken chef told The Sun that he's incredibly keen to get the show back on air.

The insider said: "He’s always wanted to bring Hell’s Kitchen back to British TV and he wouldn’t want anyone else to be fronting its revival.

"While he's only hosted one series of the addictive reality show, it holds a special place in Gordon's heart as it's where he made his name as a celebrity chef.

"Despite only hosting one series in the UK, it’s one of the shows with which he is most closely associated, mainly because his notorious temper produced some of its best moment."

And there are no shortage of famous faces lining up to appear on the show to feel the full wrath of Gordon.

They continued: "Despite Gordon making life a misery for many of the celebrities, famous faces are likely to be clamouring to sign up".

The first series featured former minister Edwina Currie, pop star Matt Goss and the winner, soap star Jennifer Ellison.

It was the American version of Hell's Kitchen which really made Gordan a household name across the globe.

After it aired on US TV in 2005, high profile celebrities such as Kris Jenner, Cher and Mariah Carey became obsessed with the angry chef.

While he's said to be eager to get the wheels in motion, it's likely that production on the revival will not begin until 2021.

This is partly due to Gordon's busy schedule, and partly due to the coronavirus pandemic.
