Gordon Ramsay 'confronted by Adam Peaty's mother at engagement party where he was filming Netflix series'

Adam Peaty’s mother Caroline reportedly confronted Gordon Ramsay at Adam’s engagement party.

The Olympic swimmer, 30, proposed to Gordon’s influencer daughter Holly Ramsay, 25, last September and they are set to marry at Bath Abbey at Christmas - an event Caroline is reportedly not invited to.

Tensions in Adam’s rumoured rift with the family reportedly began at his and Holly’s lavish engagement bash in London last December.

The Ramsay clan and Caroline were in attendance at the party, which will reportedly feature in Gordon’s Netflix docuseries, Being Gordon Ramsay.

The TV chef, 59, was filmed over nine months as he opened five new restaurants in London, alongside juggling his personal life in the documentary.

Caroline aired several concerns at the party and spoke to Gordon about them, according to The Sun.

“Adam’s family were at the engagement party, when relations were much better. Things went downhill from there,” a source told the outlet.

“His mum was unhappy some of the family weren’t there and confronted Gordon at the event.

“Guests were made to sign non-disclosure agreements and hand in phones as the party was filmed.”

The Standard has contacted representatives for Gordon and Adam for comment.

The latest reports comes amid weeks of public sparring between Adam and his parents and extended family.

Caroline was not invited to Holly’s recent hen do and is now reportedly banned from the marriage ceremony next month.

His father and various other family members are also reportedly no longer on the guest list and had invitations withdrawn from Boxing Day drinks with the Ramsays before the big day.

When Adam flew back into Manchester Airport from his stag do in Budapest earlier this month, he was met by five police officers, reportedly over fears he might be assaulted.

It is alleged he had been receiving threatening messages from his brother - builder James, 34.

James was arrested on suspicion of harassment and questioned by police for two days before being released on conditional bail.

His father Mark told the Sun at at the time: “They're brothers. They've always been close but like any normal family, brothers fight, argue, fall out, make-up and start all over again. But it's got out of hand.”

Caroline shared a desperate message with her son earlier this month, calling for a reconciliation.

“I know it’s the end,” she told the Daily Mail.

“But please, the message I want Adam to hear is no matter what happens in the future, please know I love you, your dad loves you, you can come home and talk to me at any point.

“There’s nothing you’ve done that I would not forgive. I love you so much.

“I hope your marriage is a good one, I don't wish any ill on you and I want you and Holly to have a long and happy marriage, like your dad and me. The reason I’m speaking out is I want all this to end.”

Days later, Adam broke his silence on the feud and warned there are “two sides to every story”.

Taking to Instagram, he described how coverage of the family fall-out has been “almost entirely one-sided and in many cases, excessive and intrusive”.

He explained that reading reports and comments on social media had been “deeply hurtful and upsetting to read, especially given the false basis upon which we have been targeted”.

He continued: “What makes it worse is that it has been encouraged by members of my family.

“[My sister] Bethany, Holly and myself cannot go into detail given an ongoing police investigation into serious matters that arose long before recent events.”

The Olympian said he was not asking for sympathy but “we just need people to be aware that there are always two sides to every story”.
