Gordon Ramsay backs Brooklyn Beckham and reveals the 'chef' always 'excited' about food

Gordon Ramsay has said that he is "excited" by Brooklyn Beckham 's pursuit of a career in the culinary industry.

The celebrity chef, 56, and wife Tana Ramsay, 48, are close friends with David Beckham, 47, and Victoria Beckham, 48. Their families have even holidayed together in the past.

He has now spoken about the latter couple's eldest son Brooklyn, 23 - who has attracted attention for his cooking skills, including over a roast dinner tutorial this month.

It saw Brooklyn and chef Kevin Lee demonstrate how to make a Sunday roast, but some viewers felt that the beef wasn't cooked enough, with some describing it as "raw".

Gordon has told the the Daily Mail that whilst he hasn't seen the video of the "supposedly 'raw' beef" himself, he's "pleased" to see Brooklyn pursuing his passion for food.

He said that even a child Brooklyn was "always excited about food". Gordon said he's "pleased" to see Brooklyn pursuing it and that he's found something he "really enjoys doing."

Seemingly discussing the reaction to Brooklyn's culinary efforts, Gordon said "it's hard," adding that he didn't ask for "that level of intrusion" from having well-known parents.

He further commented: "It probably came off a certain way, but it's not his fault. So I have no issues against it. I'm excited. We have another chef joining the mix."

His comments come after Victoria addressed her eldest son's recent tutorial in a post on Instagram last week. She had teased that she was inspired to try the recipe herself.

Alongside the video, she wrote on the platform: "Inspiration for this Sunday's roast. I'll be attempting this for your dad and brothers and sister." Victoria tagged Brooklyn in it.

And she went on to defend him over the suggestion that the meat had been raw. She wrote: "It's rare people not raw". She accompanied the response with a laughing emoji.

It isn't the first tutorial that Brooklyn has worked on, with him having previously shown fans how to make a gin and tonic, sandwiches and other dishes in recent years.
